At Camiguin Freediving, we offer the Molchanovs Wave 2 Instructor Course for experienced freedivers aiming to advance their freediving to a professional teaching level. To enroll, candidates must have completed the Molchanovs Wave 3 course or possess an equivalent instructor certification from another recognized agency.

What to expect

Embarking on the Molchanovs Wave 2 Instructor Course at Camiguin Freediving is your gateway to a professional career in freediving. With your extensive experience as a Wave 3 freediver, it's time to share your passion confidently, effectively, and safely with your own students.

Throughout this course, you'll master the art of conducting engaging classroom sessions and effectively teaching both dry and in-water skills. This comprehensive training ensures you're well-prepared to educate and inspire the next generation of freedivers.

Throughout the program, you will learn to:

  • Facilitate relaxation, breathing, and mental techniques

  • Implement teaching frameworks and validate skills

  • Instruct theoretical and dry skills

  • Teach confined water skills

  • Teach open water skills

  • Set up buoy and deep diving systems

Requirements

Pool requirements (Lap 2 Instructor)

  • 4 minute static breath hold (STA)

  • 60m Dynamic No Fins (DNF)

  • 100m Dynamic Bifins (DYN)

Open Water requirements (Wave 2 Instructor)

  • 40m Constant Weight Bifins (CWTB) & Free Immersion (FIM)

  • 30m Constant Weight No Fins (CNF)

  • 25m Rescue & 50m Surface Tow

  • 15m Stand-by Rescue (minimum 60 seconds)

  • CO₂ Dive - While weighted for neutral buoyancy at 10m, perform vertical finning for 60 seconds with elbows above the surface, then immediately complete a 20m CWTB dive
